Description
The 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 featured a redesigned dashboard that differed from the 1963-1964 models, and this Dashtop overlay specifically covers the left (driver) side of the instrument panel where cracking is most severe. The driver-side section of the dash receives the most direct sunlight and heat, and after six decades the vinyl surface invariably shows deep cracks, checking, and discoloration. This Dashtop molded dash cover is precision-formed from UV-stable ABS plastic to match the left-side contours of the 1965 Galaxie 500 dash, installing directly over the original surface, which must remain in place to serve as a solid foundation.
Clean the original pad, apply the included silicone adhesive, and position the Dashtop overlay. Once cured, the bond is permanent and eliminates any movement or noise. This left-side cover restores a clean appearance to the most damaged area of the dashboard and protects the original pad from further UV degradation. Manufactured in the USA and covered by Dashtop's lifetime warranty.
